Atlantic City, NJ—–The Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall was transformed into an unforgettable celebration of classic R&B as Kenny Lattimore, Xscape, and Jodeci delivered a night filled with nostalgia, soulful vocals, and timeless hits.

Kenny Lattimore opened the evening with elegance and emotion, immediately setting the tone for the concert with a smooth performance of “Survive.” From the first note, his rich vocals and commanding stage presence captivated the audience, many of whom sang along word-for-word throughout his set.

Lattimore delivered a perfect mix of fan favorites and signature classics, including “Never Too Busy,” “Days Like This,” “For You,” and “Stay on Your Mind.” One of the standout moments came when he paid tribute to Luther Vandross with a heartfelt rendition of “A House Is Not a Home,” showcasing the vocal control and passion that have made him one of R&B’s most respected performers.

Next to take the stage was Atlanta’s legendary trio Xscape featuring Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and Tamika Scott. From the moment they appeared, the energy inside Boardwalk Hall shifted as fans erupted with excitement for one of the defining female groups of ‘90s R&B.

They performed classic hits such as “Just Kickin’ It,” “Who Can I Run To,” “Understanding,” and “My Little Secret,” each song bringing back memories for longtime fans. Their smooth harmonies and emotional delivery showcased why Xscape’s music continues to resonate across generations.

The standout moment of the night came during “Understanding,” when the crowd sang nearly every word in unison, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Xscape proved once again that timeless R&B music never goes out of style.

The night came to a memorable close with an electrifying performance by the legendary R&B group Jodeci.

Jodeci took fans on a journey through their legendary catalog, performing hits from their groundbreaking debut album “Forever My Lady,” including “Stay,” “Forever  and “Come and Talk to Me.” Their signature blend of soulful harmonies, hip-hop swagger, and emotional ballads instantly had the crowd on its feet.

The energy only intensified as they moved into songs from later albums like “Diary of a Mad Band” and “The Show, the After Party, the Hotel.” Performances of classics like “Freek’n You,” “Cry for You,” and “Feenin’” turned the arena into a giant singalong, with fans dancing in the aisles and reliving the golden era of R&B.

From beginning to end, the concert was more than just a night of music — it was a celebration of timeless artistry, love, and the enduring power of R&B. Each act brought their own unique style and passion to the stage, reminding the audience why their music continues to resonate across generations.
