Atlanta, GA—The Atlanta Dream defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 87-74 in a game highlighted by Allisha Gray’s 25 points and Tina Charles’ double-double. Gray shot 9-for-14 from the field, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, and added three steals, helping Atlanta break a two-game losing streak. Charles contributed 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, marking her fifth double-double of the season.

Rhyne Howard contributed 16 points and five assists, despite shooting 4-for-15 overall and 1-for-7 from 3-point range. Aerial Powers came off the bench with 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists. For the Sparks, Rickea Jackson and rookie Cameron Brink each scored 16 points, with Brink also pulling down seven rebounds. Dearica Hamby managed 10 points and eight rebounds, below her season averages, while reserve Aari McDonald added 14 points and five assists.

The Dream took a 20-14 lead after the first quarter, but the Sparks closed the gap to 45-40 by halftime with a strong finish to the second quarter. After a back-and-forth third quarter, Atlanta surged ahead in the fourth, sparked by Howard’s 3-pointer that gave them a 67-66 lead with 6:55 remaining. Gray’s scoring burst secured the win as Atlanta pulled away late in the game.

This victory marked Atlanta’s second win over Los Angeles this season, following their earlier 92-81 win. Looking ahead, Los Angeles continues their road trip with a game against the Connecticut Sun, while Atlanta travels to face the Minnesota Lynx next.
