PHOENIX, AZ — Dillon Brooks scored 25 points and Devin Booker added 24 as the Phoenix Suns secured their third consecutive win, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 111–102 on Sunday night and snapping San Antonio’s three-game surge.
Phoenix was short-handed, playing without injured regulars Jalen Green, Grayson Allen, and Ryan Dunn, but still received major boosts from Jordan Goodwin — who posted 15 points and 10 rebounds — and center Mark Williams. Collin Gillespie also chipped in 15 points off the bench.
De’Aaron Fox paced the Spurs with 26 points as San Antonio continued to navigate a stretch without Victor Wembanyama. The star rookie missed his fourth straight game due to a left calf strain and is expected to remain sidelined for at least another week.
Devin Vassell contributed 17 points for San Antonio, while reserve forward Keldon Johnson added 14. Julian Champagnie recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The Spurs were further depleted with Stephon Castle unavailable because of a left hip flexor strain and rookie Dylan Harper — this year’s No. 2 pick — still out with a left calf injury.
Phoenix was missing Green (right hamstring), Allen (quadriceps), and Dunn, who injured his right wrist on a failed dunk attempt during Friday’s comeback victory over Minnesota.
After falling behind by 11 points in the second quarter, the Suns flipped the game after halftime, outscoring San Antonio 37–24 in the third to go ahead 86–80. Booker poured in 11 points in the period.
The Suns overcame a cold start from deep — missing their first nine three-point attempts — to finish 14-for-38 (36.8%) from long range.
