Milwaukee, WI — The New York Knicks delivered one of their most complete performances of the season Friday night, overwhelming the Milwaukee Bucks 127–98 behind a blistering start and relentless perimeter shooting.
Jalen Brunson set the tone early, pouring in 27 points, while OG Anunoby added 24 as New York controlled the game from the opening tip. The Knicks connected on 21 of 42 attempts from three-point range and shot 60 percent in the first half to silence a Milwaukee team that had entered the night among the league’s hottest offenses.
Karl-Anthony Towns posted a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, Landry Shamet contributed 15 points, and Josh Hart finished with 12. Mikal Bridges and Mohamed Diawara each chipped in 10 as New York’s balanced attack kept the pressure on throughout.
Milwaukee, which had won eight of its previous 10 games and was wrapping up a stretch of five games in eight days, never fully recovered from the early onslaught. Myles Turner scored 19 points — 18 of them before halftime — while Kyle Kuzma added 17. Bobby Portis finished with 14 points, Ryan Rollins had 13, and Kevin Porter Jr. recorded 11 points and 10 assists.
The Knicks wasted little time asserting control. Brunson erupted for 22 points in the opening quarter alone, hitting 9 of his first 10 shots, including three three-pointers. His outburst propelled New York to a 38–30 lead after one.
An 8–0 run to open the second quarter pushed the margin to 16, and the Knicks carried a commanding 77–57 advantage into halftime. Their offensive efficiency continued into the third quarter, where the lead ballooned to 24 before Milwaukee briefly trimmed it to 15 during a 9–0 spurt.
Any hopes of a comeback quickly faded. New York surpassed the 100-point mark late in the third and extended its advantage to as many as 32 in the fourth. The Bucks’ 16 turnovers — which led to 19 Knicks points — further compounded their struggles.
Milwaukee once again played without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed his 14th consecutive game due to a strained right calf, though he has resumed practicing with the team.
The Knicks will return home to host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, while the Bucks travel to Chicago to face the Bulls.
