Athens, Ga. — Georgia rediscovered its rhythm at home Saturday, riding a hot-shooting performance and a decisive late burst to put away Texas 91–80 and snap a three-game skid in Athens.
Jeremiah Wilkinson provided the spark, pouring in 19 points off the bench to lead the Bulldogs (19–8, 7–7 SEC). Georgia was efficient throughout, connecting on 60% of its shots and knocking down 11 of 20 from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs carried a 45–35 advantage into halftime and maintained composure when Texas made its push.
Marcus Millender contributed 15 points and five assists, while Somtochukwu Cyril and Kanon Catchings each added 13. Blue Cain chipped in 12 points and five assists in a balanced offensive effort.

Texas (17–10, 8–6) countered with strong shooting of its own, finishing at 57% from the floor. Matas Vokietaitis led the way with 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting, and Dailyn Swain added 21. Jordan Pope scored 17, including a step-back 3-pointer that knotted the game at 67 with 7:37 remaining.
The tie was short-lived. Justin Abson ignited a pivotal Georgia run with a dunk, and Cain followed with a three-point play to highlight a 10–2 surge that stretched the lead to eight. Catchings later drilled a 3-pointer with just over two minutes to play, extending the margin to 12 and effectively sealing the outcome. Texas was unable to cut the deficit below eight in the closing stretch.
With the victory, Georgia earned a split in the season series after falling to Texas by 20 points in their previous meeting in January.
Up next, Texas returns home to host Florida on Wednesday, while Georgia heads to Vanderbilt for a midweek conference matchup.
