Newark, NJ—Newark’s rising featherweight prospect Keith “Tsunami” Colon delivered another explosive performance on April 10 at the Prudential Center, overwhelming Luis Almendarez Morales with a first-round stoppage.

Colon came out aggressive from the opening bell, immediately pressing the action and asserting control. His speed and power proved too much for Morales, who struggled to keep up with the early onslaught.

After dominating the first two minutes of the bout, Colon sealed the finish with a sharp right hand that dropped Morales late in the round. With Morales unable to recover, the referee stepped in to stop the fight at 2:38 of the opening frame.

“I just came out and tried to keep the pressure on him and attack him. When I saw I hurt him, I just went into attack mode.” Colon said after the fight.

The victory keeps Colon undefeated and maintains his perfect knockout streak, further establishing him as a fighter to watch in the featherweight division.
