Toronto—– The San Antonio Spurs stretched their winning streak to a season-high 10 games with a 110-107 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

Devin Vassell led San Antonio with 21 points, while De’Aaron Fox added 20. The Spurs managed the win despite an inefficient performance from Victor Wembanyama, who finished with 12 points on 3-of-12 shooting. He struggled from long distance, going 1 for 6 from beyond the arc, but converted five of six free throws. His only miss at the line came with 8.7 seconds remaining and San Antonio holding a three-point edge.

Toronto had a chance to force overtime, but Brandon Ingram missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer in the closing seconds. Wembanyama secured the rebound to seal the outcome.

Though his shot wasn’t falling consistently, Wembanyama contributed across the stat sheet with eight rebounds, three assists and five blocks in 30 minutes. One of those blocks — a crucial rejection of Jakob Poeltl with 44 seconds left — helped preserve the lead.

San Antonio received additional scoring from Dylan Harper (15 points), Stephon Castle (13) and Julian Champagnie (10). The victory marked the Spurs’ fifth consecutive win over Toronto.

For the Raptors, Ingram recorded 20 points and a season-best 11 rebounds. Immanuel Quickley also scored 20, and Scottie Barnes chipped in 15. Toronto has now dropped three straight games at home.

Poeltl, sidelined in Tuesday’s loss to Oklahoma City Thunder due to lower back soreness, returned off the bench. Rookie Collin Murray-Boyles started the matchup against Wembanyama but left in the third quarter with a sore left thumb.

Wembanyama went scoreless from the field in the first half, missing all four of his attempts. However, he quickly made an impact after halftime, finishing an alley-oop from Champagnie just 38 seconds into the third quarter.

The teams were tied at 69 midway through the third before Toronto surged ahead with a 21-9 run to close the period. San Antonio responded in the fourth, reclaiming a 93-92 lead on a dunk by Luke Kornet with 7:26 remaining, capitalizing on eight straight missed shots by the Raptors to open the final quarter.

Up next, the Spurs travel to Brooklyn on Thursday, while the Raptors head to Washington for a Saturday matchup.
