San Francisco, CA — Powered by a balanced offensive attack from Los Angeles Lakers superstars Luka Dončić and LeBron James, the Lakers rolled to a 129-101 victory over the undermanned Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.
Dončić finished with 26 points, eight assists and six rebounds, while James added 22 points, nine assists and seven boards as Los Angeles controlled the game from the outset. The win halted a three-game overall slide for the Lakers and ended a three-game road skid, marking just their third victory in the last eight contests.
Golden State, missing key contributors, struggled to generate consistent offense. Stephen Curry sat out his 10th consecutive game due to a lingering right knee issue, and recently acquired center Kristaps Porziņģis was unavailable because of illness. Without their usual firepower, the Warriors fell behind early and never mounted a serious challenge.
Los Angeles wasted little time seizing command, knocking down 12 of its first 21 shots — including five from 3-point range — to build a 33-16 cushion. Meanwhile, the Warriors endured a frigid start from beyond the arc, opening 2-for-17 and finishing just 12-for-44 from long distance.
Austin Reaves provided 18 points on efficient 7-of-11 shooting for the Lakers, while Luke Kennard chipped in 16 off the bench with four 3-pointers. Deandre Ayton controlled the glass with 10 rebounds.
For Golden State, Gui Santos paced the team with 14 points, continuing his strong stretch with his fifth straight double-digit performance. Gary Payton II added 12 points, marking his seventh double-figure outing in the past nine games.
James also shared a pregame moment with his 11-year-old daughter, Zhuri, getting in extra shots together after completing his warmup.
