Bronx, NY—–Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is proud to present THE COMEDY KINGS featuring JOE TORRY, TALENT HARRIS, CAPONE AND JOE CLAIR, hosted by the hilarious AG White on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, at 8PM. This dynamic stand-up comedy collective brings together a group of seasoned, street-savvy comedians who deliver high-energy, crowd-driven performances. Five of the funniest veteran comics will come together for one unforgettable night.
JOE TORRY is a veteran stand-up comedian, actor, and producer whose improvisational, audience-driven style has made him a standout figure in modern comedy. Born Joseph Pierre Torry on September 28, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, he is best known as the charismatic host of HBO’s Def Comedy Jam.
Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has appeared in notable films such as Poetic Justice as well as House Party with Martin Lawrence, and TV appearances on ER, NYPD Blue, and NCIS. A graduate of Lincoln University in Missouri, he has received their Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry and his community service, such as his founding of the Giving Back the Love Foundation, focused on youth and community programs. With ongoing creative ventures and a lasting influence on stand-up, Torry remains an enduring and evolving voice in entertainment.
TALENT HARRIS is a New York City–bred stand-up comedian, writer, and actor known for his smooth delivery, quick wit, and polished storytelling style. Emerging from the NYC comedy scene, he gained national recognition through appearances on BET’s ComicView, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, and as a featured performer on Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam tours.
Talent’s humor blends street-smart observations with relatable, everyday experiences, delivered with a laid-back confidence that resonates with diverse audiences. Beyond stand-up, he has built a career in television and film, earning respect as both a seasoned comic and a versatile entertainer.
CAPONE is a dynamic stand-up comedian and entertainer from the Bronx, New York, celebrated for his electrifying stage presence, razor-sharp crowd interaction, and unfiltered storytelling inspired by urban life and street culture.
Emerging from the New York City comedy scene, he cultivated a dedicated fan base through live performances, radio spots, and hosting roles, ultimately earning national recognition with appearances on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam. Capone’s unique comedic flair helped him gain his role as host of Harlem’s legendary Amateur Night at the Apollo Theatre and his role as main actor in the New York Times bestselling author Zane’s HBO film production of her book Sex Chronicles.
JOE CLAIR is a veteran stand-up comedian, radio host, and television personality. He is recognized for his effortless charisma, quick wit, and broad audience appeal. While closely tied to the East Coast comedy scene—especially New York City—he first rose to national prominence as the host of BET’s Rap City, later expanding his reach with ComicView and becoming a well-known figure in both hip-hop and comedy culture. Beyond the stage, he has established a strong presence in radio, particularly in the Washington, D.C. market, where his voice and personality have made him a lasting fixture in urban media.
