Newark, NJ—–Following his victory over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 328 on Saturday night, King Green made it clear he has no interest in slowing down.

Moments after leaving the cage, Green was already talking about his next fight and pushing for another opportunity as soon as possible. Despite securing the win, the veteran lightweight admitted he walked away unsatisfied with how the bout concluded and believes he still has more to prove inside the Octagon.

Speaking to reporters after the event, Green said he feels healthy enough to compete again immediately and even floated the idea of appearing on the upcoming UFC Vegas card at the UFC Apex.

“I’m ready to do another one. I’m ready to fight next week,” Green said after the event. “If they gave me a shot on the Vegas card, I’d take it.”

The performance improved Green’s professional record to 35-17-1, but the longtime UFC veteran revealed he was hoping to make a stronger statement against Stephens. While happy to earn the victory, Green wanted a finish that would leave no doubt about his standing among the sport’s elite competitors.

Green explained that his goal is not only to continue winning fights, but also to cement his legacy as one of the most accomplished fighters to ever compete in mixed martial arts.

Although the fight was competitive, Green showed tremendous respect toward Jeremy Stephens both before and after the matchup. During his post-fight comments, he praised Stephens for his toughness, longevity, and contributions to the sport, emphasizing that both men have earned respect through years of sacrifice and competition.

According to Green, he reminded Stephens during their faceoff that neither fighter should be viewed as a loser regardless of the outcome because both veterans have spent years proving themselves against high-level competition.

The mutual respect between the two fighters stood out as one of the night’s biggest moments, showcasing the bond many longtime veterans share after years of battling inside the cage.

Now riding momentum into the second half of 2026, Green appears determined to stay active and continue building his resume. Whether the UFC grants him another quick turnaround remains to be seen, but one thing is clear — King Green believes he still has plenty left to accomplish in the sport.
