Bronx, NY—–The New York Yankees stayed red-hot Saturday, powering past the Baltimore Orioles 9-4 behind a dominant performance from Cody Bellinger.
Bellinger was nearly unstoppable at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 while driving in four runs. He launched two solo home runs—both off breaking pitches—setting the tone early and then widening the gap as the game progressed. He also contributed an RBI double and a run-scoring single, accounting for production in multiple innings as New York’s offense kept pressure on Baltimore pitching.
The Yankees built momentum steadily. Trent Grisham added a two-run homer, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. chipped in with an RBI single to help extend the lead. The win marked New York’s 12th victory in its last 14 games, pushing the club to a season-best mark well above .500.
On the mound, Ryan Weathers delivered a solid outing, giving up three runs—only one earned—over five-plus innings. As the Yankees await the returns of Carlos Rodón and Gerrit Cole, the rotation continues to perform at an elite level, leading the league in ERA.
Baltimore struggled to keep pace, dropping its third straight game while continuing to have trouble against left-handed pitching. Pete Alonso provided one of the few bright spots for the Orioles, homering for the second consecutive game during his return to New York.
There were also positive signs for the Yankees beyond the scoreboard. Jasson Domínguez returned to the lineup after being hit by a pitch earlier in the week, while Giancarlo Stanton took a step forward in his recovery, resuming hitting activities following a recent injury.
With momentum firmly on their side, the Yankees now turn to Max Fried for the series finale, while Baltimore is expected to counter with rookie Trey Gibson, who is set to make his major league debut.
