Brooklyn, NY — Jessica Shepard continued her remarkable season Tuesday night, recording her third triple-double of the year to lead the Dallas Wings to an impressive 88-77 victory over the New York Liberty at Barclays Center.

Shepard finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, becoming just the second player in WNBA history to record three triple-doubles in a single season. Only Alyssa Thomas has accomplished the feat more often in one year.

The milestone was also the fourth triple-double of Shepard’s career, moving her into a tie with Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu for the second-most in league history.

Dallas continued its strong play away from home, improving to 14-8 on the season while earning its eighth road victory—already surpassing the combined six road wins the franchise posted over the previous two seasons.

The Wings controlled the game for much of the evening, using balanced scoring, efficient ball movement, and a dominant rebounding effort to keep the defending champions from mounting a serious comeback.

Paige Bueckers delivered another poised performance, finishing with 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Her lone three-pointer of the night came with 3:12 remaining in the fourth quarter, stretching Dallas’ lead to 82-70. The basket also provided Shepard with the assist that secured her historic triple-double.

Azzi Fudd added 12 points, while Awak Kuier turned in one of her best all-around performances of the season with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists, helping the Wings control both ends of the floor.

Dallas has now won five of its last seven games, continuing to build momentum as the playoff race intensifies.

For New York, Breanna Stewart once again carried much of the offensive load, scoring a game-high 29 points while grabbing nine boards. Jonquel Jones contributed 17 points, and Sabrina Ionescu finished with 14.

The Liberty struggled offensively from the outset.

Stewart accounted for four of New York’s 10 made field goals during the first half, while the remainder of the team combined to shoot just 6-for-27 from the field before halftime. Dallas capitalized on the cold shooting to take a commanding 47-31 advantage into the locker room.

Although New York attempted to rally in the second half, the Wings consistently answered every run, maintaining a comfortable cushion behind Shepard’s playmaking and timely baskets from Bueckers and Fudd.

The victory completed another impressive road performance for Dallas, which has now defeated the Liberty twice in New York this season.
