Williamsport, PA—-Curaçao has earned a spot in the 2026 Little League World Series championship game after shutting out Japan 4-0 in Saturday’s international final.
The international side entered the tournament as one of 10 teams representing countries and regions from around the world, but Curaçao steadily separated itself from the field and continued its impressive run in Williamsport.
Japan kept the contest close early, but Curaçao broke through in the third inning. Its offense produced three runs in the frame, creating the separation it needed to take control of the game.
Curaçao added another run later and its pitching and defense kept Japan off the scoreboard the rest of the way. The 4-0 result secured the international championship and guaranteed Curaçao a place in the final game of the tournament.
The victory came Saturday, Aug. 29, setting up a final matchup against the winner of the United States bracket.
Curaçao will now have the opportunity to capture the overall Little League World Series title when it takes the field Sunday. With the international championship already secured, the team is one win away from finishing its run as the tournament’s best team.
