Harrison, NJ — Claudia Moloney-MacDonald delivered a spectacular performance, scoring four tries to lead England’s Red Roses to a commanding 55-12 victory over the USA Women at Sports Illustrated Stadium on Friday. England closed out its 2026 WXV Global Series campaign with an emphatic win, showcasing its offensive firepower and physical strength.
The Red Roses received scoring contributions from seven players, with Moloney-MacDonald leading the way. Meg Jones, Mia Venner, Bryony Field, Maddie Feaunati, and Sadia Kabeya also crossed the try line as England pulled away in the second half.
The victory provided a strong response for head coach John Mitchell’s squad following consecutive defeats against Canada. England entered the matchup looking to finish its international campaign on a positive note, while the United States arrived having won all four of its previous WXV Global Series contests.
England established control early, with Moloney-MacDonald opening the scoring just five minutes into the match. The Exeter Chiefs winger found space on the outside after receiving a well-timed pass from fly-half Holly Aitchison and finished with a diving effort.

The visitors quickly returned to the attack. Flo Robinson, making her first Test start, helped generate quick ball that allowed Moloney-MacDonald to strike again on the left side. The second try gave England an early advantage and marked her sixth try of the tournament.
The United States responded through veteran prop Hope Rogers, who powered across the line from close range. Bella Vogel converted the try, bringing the Eagles back into the contest.
England answered before halftime. Emma Sing provided the physical push through the middle, setting up captain Meg Jones to finish the move and add another try. Aitchison converted, giving the Red Roses a 17-7 lead heading into the break.
England returned from halftime with even greater attacking intensity. Mackenzie Carson delivered a timely pass to prop Maud Muir, who broke into open space and helped create another scoring opportunity. Aitchison then delivered a well-placed pass to Moloney-MacDonald, who finished in the corner to complete her hat trick.
The England winger was not finished. Moloney-MacDonald crossed for her fourth try shortly afterward, further extending the visitors’ advantage and putting the match increasingly out of reach.

England continued to find openings across the field. A well-executed attacking sequence moved the ball across the pitch and created space for Mia Venner to score. Sing added the conversion from a difficult angle.
The Red Roses then used their strength in the set piece to add to the lead. Following a penalty, England moved into position for a five-meter lineout and drove toward the try line. Hooker Bryony Field finished the effort by grounding the ball on her birthday.
Maddie Feaunati followed with another impressive score, using her athleticism to break through the middle from the back of the scrum before touching down beneath the posts.
Sadia Kabeya added England’s final try from close range, capping a dominant second-half performance. The United States managed one final response, with Kate Zackary scoring a late consolation try before the final whistle.

The 55-12 result gave England a convincing finish to its 2026 WXV Global Series schedule. Moloney-MacDonald’s four-try effort highlighted an attacking performance in which the Red Roses consistently used their speed, ball movement and forward power to create scoring opportunities.
