Chicago, IL — Angel Reese delivered another dominant performance against the franchise that launched her professional career, recording 17 points and 17 rebounds as the Atlanta Dream pulled away late for an 82-75 victory over the Chicago Sky on Tuesday night.

Playing her first regular-season game in Chicago since being selected seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese wasted little time making her presence felt. The standout forward collected her eighth double-double of the season before the third quarter ended, continuing a historic start to her career. Through 75 games, Reese has amassed 57 double-doubles, the highest total by any player in WNBA history over that span.

Atlanta received balanced scoring throughout the lineup. Rhyne Howard matched Reese with 17 points and reached a significant career milestone, surpassing 2,500 points while becoming the youngest player in league history to accumulate at least 2,500 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists, 200 steals, and 100 blocks.

Naz Hillmon provided a major spark with 16 points, while Allisha Gray overcame a quiet first half to finish with 14 points. Veteran guard Jordin Canada also chipped in 14 points as the Dream improved to 8-3 on the season.

Chicago battled throughout the night and briefly seized momentum late in the third quarter. Natasha Cloud led the Sky with 18 points off the bench, including a jumper just before the buzzer that gave Chicago a 58-57 advantage heading into the final period. Cloud opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer, extending the lead to four.

The Dream responded with a decisive surge. Hillmon converted a layup after a sharp feed from Reese to put Atlanta ahead 73-70, then knocked down a three-pointer on the next possession to stretch the margin. Atlanta’s defense tightened during a crucial 9-0 run, and Reese capped the burst with a basket that pushed the lead to 80-70 with less than a minute remaining.

Skylar Diggins scored 17 points for Chicago, while Kamilla Cardoso added 13, but the Sky could not recover from Atlanta’s late-game push and fell to 4-8 on the season.

Atlanta will return home Thursday for a showdown against the defending champion New York Liberty, while Chicago travels to Indiana for its next matchup.
