RED BANK, N.J. — St. Peter’s Prep and Red Bank Catholic delivered one of the most entertaining matchups of the New Jersey high school football season Friday night, with the Marauders holding off a determined Caseys comeback to escape with a 37-34 road victory.

The matchup featured two highly ranked programs, with St. Peter’s Prep entering as the No. 4 team and Red Bank Catholic ranked No. 18. The final score reflected the competitive nature of the contest, as both offenses found ways to produce big plays throughout the evening.

St. Peter’s Prep improved to 7-2 with the victory, winning four of its last five games. Red Bank Catholic fell to 7-3, ending its three-game winning streak.

The Marauders were led by Abdul Turay, who delivered a tremendous performance on the ground and through the air. Turay finished with 115 rushing yards, 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns, giving the Prep offense a versatile weapon that RBC struggled to contain.

Ty’ire Clark also played a major role in the victory. Clark scored on an 11-yard touchdown run and made one of the game’s biggest defensive plays, returning an interception 55 yards for a touchdown. His pick-six early in the fourth quarter appeared to give St. Peter’s Prep the separation it needed.

However, Red Bank Catholic refused to surrender.

The Caseys mounted a furious comeback, scoring three consecutive touchdowns to put pressure on the Marauders during the closing stages. Gabe Kemp powered the RBC offense with 135 rushing yards and three touchdowns, consistently giving the Caseys a chance to stay within striking distance.

Quarterback Rahmir Rivera also contributed through the air, connecting with Jason Berecsky for two touchdown passes as Red Bank Catholic continued to battle.

Despite the late surge, St. Peter’s Prep made enough plays to protect its lead and finish the game with a three-point victory.

For the Marauders, Turay’s production and Clark’s ability to impact the game in multiple phases proved critical. The combination of offensive explosiveness and a timely defensive touchdown helped St. Peter’s Prep survive a difficult road test.

Red Bank Catholic demonstrated its resilience with the late rally, but the Caseys ultimately came up short.

In a matchup between two of New Jersey’s respected football programs, the Marauders left Red Bank with an important victory and another reminder of their ability to compete in high-pressure games.
